2

The discussion of an individual treatment plan, followed by the proposed locations for needle placements.
3
Treatment (20 mins)
Fine needles are inserted at the strategic points on your body which may be gently manipulated to stimulate the acupuncture points or channels.

Moxibustion, guasha or cupping therapies may be added to the treatment at this point if necessary.

The needles will remain in place for approximately 20 minutes.
4
Needle Removal (5 mins)
After approximately 20 minutes all needles are removed and disposed of hygienically into a Sharps container.

Finally, in line with your treatment plan, your practitioner will advise you when to book a follow-up appointment.
Acupuncture often requires a course of treatment that involves 1 or 2 sessions per week. The number of treatments typically depends on the length of time and severity of the condition. It is generally recommended that chronic conditions require a block of 6-8 regular sessions.
